H1N1 Information for Daycare providers

The Influenza-like Illness Symptom Screening Tool for Parents and Caregivers of Children in Childcare and Early Childhood Programs is now available in English, Spanish, and Hmong. This screening tool is for parents and caregivers to use with children in childcare or early childhood programs to screen for symptoms of influenza-like illness.

The Template Parent Notice for Childcare and Early Childhood Programs is now available in English, Spanish, and Hmong. These notices are for childcare and early childhood programs to send to parents when children or staff have influenza-like illness.

What is Child Care Resource & Referral?

We provide child care information and services to:
Families
Providers
and to the Community.
 
Our mission at Minnesota Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) is to promote high quality, affordable, accessible child care for all Minnesota families.

We are a referral source for families. Child Care Resource & Referral provides information and support to families in search of child care.

  • Help families find child care that best meets their needs
  • Provide individualized referrals to family child care homes, centers, preschool programs, and school-age programs
  • Maintain a comprehensive updated database of all licensed child care programs and providers, and school-age programs
  • Inform families about licensing regulations, services for children with special health and developmental needs, financial, social, and community services
  • Increase family choice by building the supply of child care
  • Enhance the quality of child care through provider training, site visits, grants, and general support

We are a resource for child care providers. We promote the professional growth and development of child care staff and providers with educational programs, grants, training, consultation and mentoring.

  • Support providers/programs through the licensing process
  • Promote the professional growth and development of child care program staff and providers through grants, resources, training, consultation, and mentoring
  • Supply information on loans and scholarships and administer state grants to child care providers, programs, and staff
  • Market programs through parent referrals

We are an advocate for high quality child care. We reach out to businesses and communities to generate awareness and support for high quality child care

  • Educate local communities and leaders about child care issues
  • Work with communities to effectively address child care needs
  • Provide information on the supply and demand of child care
  • Increase the business community's awareness of, and investment in, early care and education.
  • Link businesses with child care solutions, such as child care resource and referral, the dependent care assistance plan, and community partnerships

Hours of Operation

Our offices are open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (CST).

We are closed to observe the following holidays:

Thanksgiving Day
Day after Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve Day
Christmas Day

Occasionally, our offices are closed due to District or Statewide meetings.  In those instances, we will leave that information on our voice mail and have automated e-mail responses.  Messages will be returned in one business day.
